Clayhouse Cabernet Sauvignon (California) An extremely good deal, this wine will keep both neophytes and experts entertained, with aromas of black-plum jam, dark strawberries and graphite on the lively nose. The palate brings pungent blueberry and black cherry, along with crushed black-lava rocks and pencil shavings right down the middle.
The Curator Red (South Africa) Made in the Swartland by Adi Badenhorst (AKA 'The Curator'), he has assembled this unique blend from the fantastic library of wine parcels at his disposal. These parcels each possess distinct and complex character, which translates into the wine. Very old brush vines, no irrigation, no chemicals and minimal use of sulphur all combine to produce an exciting blend.
Masciarelli Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (Italy) This classic, plum-scented Italian red is made from Montepulciano grapes grown in the Abruzzo region, on Italy's Adriatic coast. Dry, medium -bodied and soft. Very drinkable, great for cheeses, lighter cured meats, pasta and by the glass. Perfect for your holiday table, a perennial favorite!
Blason Cote Du Rhone Villages (France) Stony and chalky-clayey soils produce full bodied complex wines, deep colors and a powerful bouquet. Medium-bodied, yet densely packed, full of black cherry, smoke, licorice and herbs. This wine offers exceptional value for the money and is a typically ripe and rich style from the Rhone.
Masciarelli Trebbiano (Italy) This 100% Trebbiano is a balanced, fresh and fragrant, pale yellow with green highlights. The nose has pleasant hints of apple, apricot and iris. The palate is supported by good acidity for a crisp finish. Excellent as an apertif,
matches well with seafood salads and delicate fish.
Verget Chardonnay (France) This creamy-textured Provencal white with subtle stone fruit and herby notes that speak of the south. There's some rich, rolling fruit for those who like their Chardonnay with something to hang on to. This pairs wonderfully with turkey, goose and duck. Perfect for Thanksgiving dinner!
Red & White FRENCH BURGUNDY
20% off PER BOTTLE!
Pinot Noir is one of the best food pairing wines you can have for your holiday meals,
particularly Thanksgiving dinner!
Why? Because Pinot Noirs are, for the most part, a lighter-bodied wine with
lower alcohol content, which makes them very versatile.
When you are more likely to be eating a lot (like Thanksgiving!) and drink more than usual,
a lower alcohol content might be welcomed.
French Pinot Noirs from Burgundy are the quintessence of what is produced from this delicate varietal. Unfortunately, with the world-wide demand being much higher than the production levels each year, red Burgundies can be pretty pricey. This is your chance to save!
White Burgundies, which are almost exclusively made of chardonnay, are also a very judicious choice for the your Holiday dinners. The French chardonnays will deliver the rich flower of the varietal, are lighter on oak or are un-oaked, are lower in alcohol content, and are not as heavy bodied as some of their New World counterparts.
order to give you the opportunity to treat yourself, Nejaime's is
promoting it's selection of French Burgundies by giving you
20% off per
bottle for the month of November!
