March Recommendations

12 Bottles for only $99!

Simonet Febvre Pinot Noir (Burgundy, France) A fabulously well-drinking wine from an award winning producer. The nose is dominated by aromas of morello cherries and raspberries. In the mouth, the wine is fresh and round with discreet tannins. To serve with roasted poultry, grilled or braised red meats and cheeses.

14 Hands Hot to Trot Red (Columbia Valley, Washington) This approachable and easy drinking red wine offers generous aromas of berries, cherries and currants. A plush framework of soft tannins supports the red and dark fruit flavors that leisurely give way to subtle notes of baking spice and mocha on the finish.

The Curator Red (Swartland, South Africa) A bright, moderately saturated red. Peppery red fruits and tree bark on the nose, perfumed by botanical herbs. Then surprisingly sweet - almost syrupy - in the mouth, with strawberry, licorice and pepper flavors complicated by a saline element and lifted by lively acidity. The red fruit flavors are the framed by a peppery, herbal edge on the back end. A very good value.

Gnarly Head Authentic Black Red Blend (Lodi, California) True to its name, this opens with brooding aromas of black cherry, black licorice and vanilla providing a powerful entree to this big, robust Petite Sirah-based blend. Dark and inky in the glass, concentrated flavors of boysenberry and dark chocolate are framed by hints of baking spice on the finish. Styled to stand up to the heartiest of dishes, boldly pair this full-bodied wine with venision chili, meat lovers pizza or grilled rib eye steak.

Lobster Reef Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough, New Zealand) Aromas of white peach and pepper, plus a whiff of tropical fruits. Supple and broad, with lemony acidity giving shape to the middle palate. Slight saline edge to the peach flavor. In an easy-drinking, round style, but finishes with a bit of tart acidity.

Gnarly Head Chardonnay (Lodi, California) Crafted using grapes from specially selected vineyards in Lodi and Monterey. Chardonnay fruit from the Lodi region contributes ripe, rich fruit flavors with a full mouthfeel, while grapes from Monterey add crisp acidity, balanced with vibrant citrus and abundant tropical flavors.
