AROMA WITHOUT WATER Citrus fruits (lemons and limes) with a hint of honey and pine resin. Peaty and malt notes in the background. TASTE WITHOUT WATER Smoky with cereal and malt flavours. Dries up with spicy/peppery notes followed by a delicate floral edge. AROMA WITH WATER Sweet, chocolate and fudge aromas. Floral elements and hints of phenols. TASTE WITH WATER Toasted/smoky flavours initially with a subtle fragrance. Some fruity notes develop along with an earthy, vanilla edge.
A fresh, rounded Single Malt, with a balanced mix of flavours. Matured in first fill Bourbon and Sherry casks, the palate reveals smoky cereal and malt flavours which dry up with spicy, peppery notes followed by a delicate floral edge.
|Our distillery – Speyside’s smallest - is located on the outskirts of the ancient market town of Forres, in north-east Scotland. Just two experienced distillers passionately hand-craft Benromach using the finest Scottish barley and the purest spring water from the nearby Romach Hills. They personally ensure that only the highest quality spirit is filled into sturdy oak casks before being left to mature at Benromach for many years. Only when it has matured to our highest quality standards do we bottle it and proudly label it – Benromach Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky. We adopt a very simple approach to creating our Single Malts - each part of the art of whisky making impacts on the final product.
