The Klosterneuburg is one of the world’s oldest wine estates, tracing its lineage back to the 12th century. The vineyards lie on south/southeast-facing slopes of the Weidlingbach valley near Klosterneuburg, with weathered sandstone soils topped with loess and loam, producing wines with vibrant fruit, crisp acidity, and mineral complexity. Wagram’s warm Danube valley microclimate and fertile soils allow Grüner Veltliner to develop full-bodied, aromatic styles with traditional méthode aging in sparkling cuvées. This Brut has a pale straw color with fine, persistent bubbles. It is aromatic and fresh with notes of green apple, citrus zest, white flowers, and a hint of brioche. The palate is dry with lively acidity and flavors of lemon, crisp apple, and pear, with a subtle herbal and white pepper note. Delicate yeasty undertones add complexity to its clean, mineral-driven finish. This sparkler is versatile and particularly well-suited to foods that appreciate both brightness and a dry finish.
