The vines are located in soil of medium grain with good levels of marl dating to the Eocene period. 100% Sangiovese, it is aged in oak barrels for a long period of time followed by a bottle refinement. Ruby red color verging on garnet, the bouquet is intense, fruit-forward and floral with hints of red berry fruits enriched by delicate spicy notes. Warm, soft and very well balanced on the palate; well structured with soft tannins and a long aftertaste. Great companion to roasted and stewed meats. Excellent with mature cheeses and hand made pasta with meat ragout.
